Buzzieworld Math Busy Book creates opportunities for these moments through activities children can explore with their hands. Choose a page, introduce the task and let your child take a turn. Keep the experience playful, with time to look, think and try.
Use the Velcro activities for hands-on interaction, then explore tracing and other tasks on the wipe-clean pages. Revisit a familiar activity another day or choose something different when your child is ready.
Begin with counting, number recognition and tracing. As your child becomes more comfortable, introduce concepts such as missing numbers, before and after, and simple addition.
The book also includes ten frames, equal concepts, odd and even numbers, and skip counting. Explore these with adult guidance according to your child’s understanding. There’s no need to complete every activity in order or master every concept at once.
If an answer doesn’t work, talk it through together, reset the activity and try again. Ask questions such as “Shall we count together?” or “What do you think comes next?”
